INGREDIENTS
15 small yellow potatoes
5 tbsp melted butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
3 tbsp maple syrup
2–3 tsp hot sauce
½ tsp paprika
Salt & pepper, to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
Cook in boiling water for 20 minutes until tender. Drain and let them rest for a few minutes to dry out.
Mix melted butter, garlic, dill, maple syrup, hot sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
Toss the potatoes in the sauce. Place on a lined baking sheet and smash gently using the back of a cup or jar.
Drizzle leftover sauce on top and bake at 425°F (220°C) for 40 minutes (longer if you want extra-crispy edges).
Garnish with fresh dill and enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce.
NOTES/TIPS
Crispier edges: Smash the potatoes thin and bake a bit longer for extra crunch.
Air fryer option: You can do this in an air fryer at 400°F for ~20–25 minutes after smashing.
Make-ahead: Boil the potatoes ahead of time and store in the fridge; smash and bake when ready.
